Learning goals

The Kidsnook Sensory Storytime approach

Inspired by educational approaches including Reggio Emilia, Montessori and Waldorf, Kidsnook Sensory Storytime is designed to nurture a love of stories and early critical thinking. Through engaging storytelling and sensory play, children practise problem-solving, emotional awareness and creativity.

Tips for a successful session

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the session begins. This gives children time to settle in, explore the space and get to know the others.

Children may want to stand up, move around or explore during the session. That is completely normal. If you stay seated and relaxed, your child will usually return to you when ready.

Join in the games, action rhymes and movement activities, even if your child prefers to watch. Some children need time to feel comfortable, and it is fine if they remain quiet or seated for the whole session.
