Together in English: Shared Moments That Make All the Difference
There is nothing more powerful than the bond between a parent and a child. This connection, made of glances, gestures, laughter, and routines, is fertile ground for learning… including a foreign language like English.
In my parent–child workshops, we sing together, play with puppets, make gestures, share cuddles, and enjoy finger rhymes. These simple yet meaningful activities create emotional memories where English is linked to tenderness, joy, and the pleasure of being together.
At home, these moments can be easily continued. A song repeated in the car, a funny phrase during bath time, a little role play at bedtime… Far from being “school learning,” English becomes a playmate, a secret language shared between parent and child.
What little ones remember most are the emotions they share. When an English word is tied to laughter, a cuddle, a family game, it takes root deeply and durably. This is how the language becomes alive, joyful, and affectionate; and how the child embraces it effortlessly.
