Growing Together: Creativity, Confidence, and Connection in Miss B’s Workshops
Learning a language is not just about acquiring words. It is about discovering a new way of thinking, feeling, and connecting with others. In my workshops, children don’t come to “do English.” They come to live, play, create, and express themselves… in English.
Week after week, I witness the birth of precious little moments: a shy child daring to speak in front of others, a bond forming between a parent and child during a nursery rhyme, a group uniting around a shared story. These are the moments that make the experience truly meaningful.
Every activity, whether sensory, theatrical, or story-based, aims at much more than language learning. It builds self-esteem, nurtures imagination, stimulates communication, and creates a sense of belonging. Children feel seen, heard, and valued. They enjoy being themselves, in another language.
What I wish to share above all is a joyful, respectful, and deeply human way of entering English. A language experienced together, in a caring environment where each child grows at their own pace; with confidence, with heart, and with stars in their eyes.
